Two programs will be delivered at the National Recreation and Parks Association meeting in Baltimore MD, from 23-27 September, 2019.

The NRPA LIVE Broadcasts include :

a. Session Number 338, Tuesday, September 24, 2019: 4:30-4:50 pm. “A toolkit for managing EE (Environmental Education) and ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) Continuum, where participants will choose topics within the continuum to produce a customized program for their constituency.

b. Session Number 501: Thursday, September 26, 2019: 2:30-3:45 pm. “Living STEAM laboratories: Mitigating/Adapting to Climate Change” where we will discuss how parks serve as living laboratories and classrooms, how to engage students and teachers, and work with research-based information to produce the most accurate, useful characterization of changes, mitigating and adapting actions communities can make through consilience.

c. Session 105 Tuesday, September 24: 1:00-2:15 pm. A third panel John will participate as a panelist and that will not be broadcast, “Wildlife in Parks and Communities: Institutionalizing wildlife conservation in park systems through municipal-wide planning efforts”. This will have panelists from Denver CO, Austin TX, Broward Co. FL, and the convener, who is from the headquarters of National Wildlife Federation in Washington, DC.
