Hillsborough County teachers take advantage of this one of a kind FREE professional development opportunity! Compliments to Project WILD – Schoolyard Wildlife and Growing up WILD are offered in a one-day combined opportunity. The morning session will start out with the Schoolyard Wildlife guide full of lessons and activities for creating WILD spaces at your elementary school. You’ll take a break to eat your bagged lunch then return by 12:45 and get ready for Growing Up WILD in the afternoon. Growing Up WILD is the pre-school compliment for young learners. Both guides are easy to follow and highly adaptable for formal or informal programs. You can never start too early fostering conservation of wildlife in young minds and hearts!

The Learning Gate Community School’s mission to promote academic excellence, community service, and environmental responsibility through family and community partnerships encouraged us to offer this training not only to our own staff, but to likeminded staff at other schools in the Lutz area.

DIRECTIONS: From 275, take the Nebraska Ave/41 exit to Chapman Road. Turn right and follow Chapman Road around the bend, then take a left on Hanna Road, and the school will be to your right.
