Job Op- Executive Director at Environmental Learning Center




The Environmental Learning Center in Vero Beach is conducting a search for its new Executive Director. The new ED will guide the transformation of the organization to become an even stronger regional destination, a world-class environmental education leader, and a top-ranked center for discovery, learning, wellness and science. This job offers a tremendous opportunity to the right leader with the ideal mix of skills and qualifications.


Job Description:

The ED will need lead a team of staff and volunteers, work with a committed board and balance internal management responsibilities with external relations and fundraising abilities to realize the long-term vision of the Center.The new ED will lead bringing this a new comprehensive master plan that sets a bold 10 year vision for the campus to reality including the development of strategic programs and a funding strategy.

The ED leads, plans, and monitors all activities of the Center as per the policies prescribed by the Board of Directors. The ED reports directly to the Board and is the primary spokesperson for the Center. He/she, working with the Board, will develop the vision for the Center and create and execute strategies for implementation. He or she provides the Board with strategic and actionable recommendations on issues and opportunities confronting the Center. The ED is responsible for the day-to-day management of Center operations.
