Dear EE Advocates,

It's that time of year again when we ask members of Congress to support key federal funding programs that support EE across the country. We need your help now and over the next few weeks to make sure that Congress once again includes funding for EPA's Office of Environmental Education and NOAA's Bay Watershed Education and Training and Environmental Literacy Program grants in the FY20 budget. Visit our campaign page for more information and everything you need to get started today!

Each year, members of Congress submit letters to the Appropriations Committees in each chamber asking that funding for programs important to his or her constituents are included in the budget. Appropriators look at how many of their colleagues signed on to each letter and allocate funds based in part on the level of support for any given program. The most important thing you can do is to ask your legislators to sign onto Congressional “Dear Colleague” letters asking the House Appropriations Committees to include key EE programs in the FY 2020 federal budget. Deadline for signatures on the House letters is March 25. The Senate deadline will be in early April. Visit our website for everything you need and feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.

Thanks, as always, for all you do!
