15th Annual Summit on Transforming Learning: Environmental Justice

Rollins College provides all students with a 21st Century Liberal Education focused on global citizenship and responsible leadership. The annual Summit on Transforming Learning brings together scholars, practitioners, and students to engage in dialogue around mission-driven pedagogy and practice that elevates a contemporary liberal arts ethos and environment.

This year’s theme Environmental Justice: Central Florida & Beyond will bring together teachers, scholars, practitioners, students, and community partners to participate in critical conversations about our environment and community. Together, participants will share concrete teaching strategies and actionable takeaways for incorporating environmental justice issues into classroom practice, even for those who are non-specialists.

The Summit will begin the evening of Thursday, February 20th, at 7:00 pm with a pre-conference keynote by Dr. Robert D. Bullard, Distinguished Professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Policy at Texas Southern University. For more information on Summit, make sure to take a look at the schedule overviewas well as the breakout session options.
